1. Getting to Know you

Every great project starts with a conversation. In our initial consultation, we take the time to understand your vision, lifestyle, and budget. This is your opportunity to share your ideas, ask questions, and explore what’s possible. This step goes beyond discussing ideas—it’s about understanding what matters most to you and what you need from your home.

 

Building a strong partnership is important to us, as we value the trust and commitment required between a homeowner and their building partner. 

2. Concept Design & Estimate

To formalize our partnership, we enter into a Preliminary Services Agreement. From here, we work with you to create a concept design by engaging an architect who best suits your project and your style.  If you already have plans, we review them together to ensure your needs are met &  that you understand your design. This concept design allows us to provide you with an estimate of costs before committing to a full set of plans.

From here, we align your project with your budget, whether by identifying cost-saving opportunities or increasing the scope of your project to incorporate the additional aspects you had hoped to indulge in. 

3. Preliminary Works

We take care of essential early tasks, such as arranging engineering and geotechnical reports or asbestos testing for renovations. 

We also introduce you to our trusted suppliers, helping you select the details that bring your vision to life—from cladding and joinery to cabinetry and flooring, right down to the finishing touches like switches and handles. Together, we create a schedule of your product selections to ensure alignment as we transition seamlessly into the construction phase.

Working closely with you and the architect, we focus on understanding your needs, style, and how you envision using your space, to finalise the design.

4. Working Drawings & Pricing Proposal

Once the working drawings are complete, we submit them to the council for building consent, which typically takes about six weeks.

With the design and selections finalized, we provide a comprehensive breakdown of costs, scope of work, and responsibilities in a clear pricing proposal. This step ensures there are no surprises—just a transparent path forward.

There are two ways we Price Projects

  • Fixed Price: Provides a set cost for the entire project, ideal for new builds or projects with minimal variables, giving you confidence in upfront costs.

  • Cost Plus: Offers flexibility by charging for actual work completed, perfect for renovations with potential unknowns. You pay only for what’s needed, ensuring transparency and adaptability without having to pay for unused contingencies. 

We help you choose the best pricing method based on your project and preferences.

5. The Build

This is Where the Magic Happens!  Once you’ve approved the pricing proposal and signed the building contract, we take it from there. Our team of skilled professionals, alongside our trusted partners, brings your vision to life with precision, care, and attention to detail.

We keep you informed and engaged throughout the entire process. Through regular updates, site meetings, open communication, and celebrating milestones together, we work hand in hand every step of the way.

6. Compliance and Quality Assurance

Our detailed processes ensure every aspect of your project meets the highest standards as well as ensuring obtaining your Code of Compliance will be straightforward and stress-free.

7. Welcoming You Home

When your home is ready, we walk through it with you to ensure it meets your expectations. You receive a complete handover package, including warranties and documentation.

And because we value your trust, we continue supporting you long after you move in with a 12-month maintenance check and Halo – our comprehensive 10-Year Residential Guarantee.
