Plumbing Blow Out!
Alder Homes took on the task of remediating our home after several leaks meant all of the internal plumbing had to be replaced. They organised painters and plasters and other trades (we had a new garage door and showerdome fitted at the same time) and liaised with us through the whole process.
I was undergoing medical treatment at the time and they made sure that the work was arranged to provide the minimum amount of intrusion possible. They were always available whenever anything cropped up and were never anything other than patient and kind.
Fantastic people that made a very trying time so much better

Urgent Pool and Retaining Repair
Very good to communicate with at all times. Discussed and solved all problems together which helped make the job and finished product enjoyable to a satisfactory finish. Would be very happy to work with him in the future.

Flood Damaged Property
We engaged Alder Homes to do a Flood Assessment for Insurance, Demolition of flood damage throughout the entire house, Quote to Remediate and then the Remediation Work that was almost a full house renovation. The finished product is like a brand new home.
We would highly recommend Tim, Tracey and their team due to:
-
Great communication. We knew what was happening every step in the process.
-
On time. Whether for an onsite meeting or the entire projects. We were rushed towards the end due to weather, however they sorted out how to coordinate multiple trades all working together a fixed deadline.
-
On budget. They even suggested cheaper alternatives with the same end result. Any variation was as a result of a change of mind on our end and were clearly documented.
-
Quality of the work was high. Dad, who was a builder for over 30 years and not apt to praising said, “Very good job whoever did the plastering.”
-
Options. Nothing we were faced with was an issue to them and they resolved or came up with alternatives, guided us through the process, and provided solid advice and options.
-
Skilled. Technically their trades people, including Tim himself who wasn’t shy to get on the tools, were skilled. Any hiccup they figured “stuff” out.
-
Patient. They answered our multitude of questions, even when asked a couple of times.
-
Clean. The site was very clean, and on the rare occasion it wasn’t they rectified.
-
Flexible. They allowed us to use family members who had trades. And in the early stages fitted us in amongst their other projects.
-
Genuine. Tim and Tracey are genuine and upfront people and very easy to work with.
Thanks again for everything

Bathroom DIY Disaster
We were put on to Tim though a family member who had dealings with him in the past, came highly recommended. Tim helped compete a bathroom renovation that had become a bit of a DIY disaster on our part.
Tim quickly came up with a plan of attack and booked it in. During the project he communicated suggestions/ concerns and possible solutions so that things ran smoothly.
Work was completed to a high standard and we were very happy with the outcome. Would highly recommend him for any renovation/ building work.

Cabin in the North
I had problems finding a local builder to construct a batch for me personally and eventually went with Tim Alder's proposal of making it in components in Auckland to minimise the on-site work. I am very happy with the outcome as Tim came in well under budget and the batch exceeds my expectations in quality. Tim was very helpful during the design stage and always good to deal with.
Since then in my business capacity as a Project Manager I have used Alder Homes on two further projects with similar results.
